Hot Springs - Menetúe
The Menetúe Hot Springs are situated in a wide valley near Curarrehue. It's an elegant complex with indoor and outdoor pools, cabins and a restaurant. The interior is richely decorated with motives from the local Mapuche culture.
Getting there
There is no public transport available, and Catripulli, the closest village, is a one-hour walk away (6 km). Take the bus to Curarrehue and get off in Catripulli. Cross the Trancura river and take the gravel road to the left, following the signs to the hot springs.
It's a 1-hour drive by car to the Termas de Menetúe. Take the "Camino internacional" towards Argentina, and in Catripulli (km 52) follow the signs to the hot springs.
Facilities
The Menetúe Hot Springs have two big indoor pools, two outdoor pools and a mud pool. Toilets, showers, lockers and hair dryer are provided. The restaurant serves delicious but pricey food. Massages and small individual pools are available as well.
