Hot Springs - Coñaripe
The Termas de Coñaripe are among the nicest in the area. They are situated in the wild and beautiful Liquiñe valley, just one kilometer east of Lake Pellaifa. It's a resort with outside and inside pools, a whirlpool, a hotel and a good restaurant.
Getting there
Igi Llaima has a daily bus service to Liquiñe around 10.00, which pass the Coñaripe hot spring. But it's better to take a tour, see below.
By car, the 65 km journey takes a bit more than one hour. Drive past Lican Ray and Coñaripe, and over the steep Cuesta Los Añiques. The last 15 km are on a rough gravel road but suitable for all vehicles.
Tour
The tour with the company's own bus costs $10.000, including transport and entrance fee. It's the easiest and best way to get to a hot spring from Villarrica. The tour starts around 11.30, please check the Termas de Coñaripe office on P. Montt 525, Villarrica, 411111.
Facilities
The Coñaripe Hot Springs have two huge concrete pools, a round indoor pool and a big covered whirlpool. Good toilets, hot showers and big changing-rooms are provided, towels are available for a fee. The restaurant serves delicious but quite expensive food. Other activities include bikerides, horseback riding and nice walks to nearby Lake Pellaifa.
