Hot Springs
Due to constant volcanic activity, there are plenty of natural hot springs in the area. Some are little more than basic hot tubs, while others are well developed resorts with hotel, cabins and restaurant.
| Hot Spring | Duration | Service | Entrance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Los Pozones | Half day, night | None | 4.500 |
| Coñaripe | Half - full day | Restaurant | 6.000 |
| Menetúe | Half - full day | Restaurant | 6.000 |
| Termas Geometricas | Half - full day | None | 10.000 |
Getting there
As long as you have your own means of transport, getting there is no problem. But hardly any public bus comes near a hot spring. The Termas de Coñaripe have a daily bus service from Villarrica to the hot springs, their tour is good value.
Wheather
The best time to go to a hot spring is when it's overcast and not too hot. When it's raining, a hot spring with indoor facilities might be the best choice.
