Horseback riding
Horseback riding in the Villarrica area is a unique experience, be it on the shores of Lake Villarrica or on the slopes of the Volcano Villarrica. Different tours with rides from two hours up to a full day are available - there's something for everybody, for beginners and experienced riders.
Flor de Lagos
The Flor del Lago farm is a 5000 ha property on the north shore of Lake Villarrica. It offers beautiful rides on wide pastures and through native forests, always with spectacular views of the volcano.
There are half and full day trips available, which are suitable for non experienced riders as well. Contact Amelie Castell on 09-4433520, she speaks Spanish, German and English.
Voipir Seco
Voipir Seco is a very beautiful area near Huincacara on the western slopes of Volcano Villarrica, where a local community organizes horseback rides. The longer trips go to ancient Araucaria forests and to a lookout point with spectacular views over four lakes and the glaciers of the volcano.
There are half and full day trips available, but beware, these tours are for the experienced riders only! Contact Marta Pérez Valdés on 09-6395599, she speaks Spanish only.
Important : Keep in mind that both tours have to be organized at least one day in advance and might not be available off season. There might also be a minimum number of persons necessary.
