Climbing volcano Villarrica
Climbing the active volcano Villarrica is the area's main attraction. It's a long and hard climb, but the views from the top are stunning: Up to nine volcanoes can be seen on a clear day. If you're lucky you see the boiling lava in the crater as well.
The climb
The climb up to the crater of volcano Villarrica takes approximately 5 hours. Every person with a reasonable level of fitness can do it, and there's no previous climbing experience required. The way back is pure fun - sliding down on the snow!
Agencies
The climb is organized by an agency and must be booked the day before. All the equipment is provided: boots, crampons, ice pick, trousers, jacket, backpack, gloves, sunglasses. The tour starts from our doorstep around 06.30 in the morning and takes all day. Please ask us for assistance and we organize the climb for you.
