Horseback riding
The Flor del Lago farm is a 5000 ha property on the north shore of Lake Villarrica. It offers beautiful rides on wide pastures and through native forests, always with spectacular views of the volcano. There are half and full day trips available, which are suitable for non experienced riders as well. Contact Amelie Castell on 09-4433520, she speaks Spanish, German and English.
Fishing
There are 92 species of water animals living in the Toltén River, among them Salmons and Trouts. Some good spots for fishing are whithin walking distance from our hostel.
Several boteros - fishing guides with their own boat - are waiting on the lake shore near the bridge. Floating slowly down the river, they show you the best spots and tricks for fishing.
River rafting
There is good rafting on the Trancura river. The Trancura Bajo has grade III rapids and is suitable for the entire family, while the Trancura Alto has grade IV rapids.
Ojos de Caburgua
The Ojos de Caburgua is a round pool fed by waterfalls from three sides. The water comes underground from nearby Lake Caburgua. There's also a Blue Lagoon with amazingly blue water.
